Licensing Guide
Understand what “royalty-free” means, how you can use Andersta Studios assets in your projects, and what limitations still apply under our licensing terms.
What does “Royalty-Free” mean?
All Andersta Studios assets are royalty-free, which means you can use them in your game or project without paying recurring fees, revenue shares, or per-unit royalties.
- You pay once and can use the asset forever
- No percentage is taken from your game revenue
- No additional payment per project or per platform
- Valid for commercial and non-commercial projects
What you CAN do with our assets
Under both Personal and Professional licenses, you are allowed to:
- Use assets in commercial and non-commercial games
- Use them in VR/AR applications, animations, cinematics
- Modify materials, meshes, textures, or blueprints for your project
- Publish and sell your game freely without paying royalties
What you CANNOT do
Royalty-free does not mean asset redisribution is allowed. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Reselling or sharing the raw asset files
- Uploading the assets to other marketplaces
- Publishing “asset pack” compilations containing our files
- Sharing your license key with others
Violating redistribution rules may result in license termination and account suspension.
How royalty-free works with license types
Both Personal and Professional licenses grant royalty-free usage. The only difference between the licenses is the revenue threshold, not usage rights.
- Personal License: For developers under $100k annual revenue
- Professional License: For studios earning over $100k or working with clients
